VP of Sales

(Portland, OR or Syracuse, NY preferred; remote acceptable)

Reporting into the SVP of Sales and Marketing, the Vice President of Sales will plan, direct, and coordinate all aspects of the sales strategy, assist in hiring, training, developing, and guiding the national sales team, and ensure monthly sales goals and annual financial metrics are achieved.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build the national sales team
  • Drive planning, direction, and oversight of sales team, including traveling with the team in the field
  • Responsible for achieving annual sales targets and product sales goals
  • Develop and implement annual national strategic sales plan for management review
  • Develop and manage all sales activities
  • Motivate the sales team and provide ongoing coaching and guidance
  • Work with SVP of Sales and Marketing to ensure product launches are efficient
  • Drive market channel development activity
  • Communicate performance to Executive Team and Board of Directors, and advise as to improvements in process and strategic initiatives

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of sales experience in a pharmaceutical/medical device environment
  • 5+years in a sales leadership position developing and managing sales teams
  • Experience in women’s health and/or OB/GYN space, nice to have
  • Experience with selling to clinicians, physician practices, and hospitals
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, resourceful character, with a collaborative and inspirational leadership style
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 70%
